About The Mandir Yatra
The Mandir Yatra is a practical guide to Hindu temples and pilgrimage routes across India — timings, darshan rules, how to reach, where to stay, and what to actually expect when you get there.
We started it because the information pilgrims need most is scattered across outdated forum posts, trust websites that don’t get updated, and tour-operator pages that exist to sell packages. We wanted one place where a family planning a Somnath trip or a first-time Kedarnath yatri could get the facts, verified and dated, without a sales pitch.
Who runs this site
The Mandir Yatra is published by Hemant Solanki, who lives in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. His family is from Sirohi district in Rajasthan, and the Gujarat temple circuit is home ground — the yatras that shaped this site started there.
Our writers

Divya Solanki — Writer. A travel writer who has visited several of the temples she covers and verifies the rest against official trust information. She covers the Gujarat circuit — Somnath, Dwarka and the road between them — as well as Pushkar, Banke Bihari in Vrindavan and Yadagirigutta.
How we work
- Every timings guide is checked against the temple trust’s official website or notice board, and each post carries a “Last verified” date.
- Where we’ve visited ourselves, we say so. Where we rely on official sources, we say that too.
- We don’t accept payment from tour operators, hotels or temples to feature them, and we don’t sell packages.
- Timings and rules change, especially around festivals. If you find something out of date, email info@themandiryatra.com and we’ll correct it.
